Absolutely addictive, I agree. The best early morning place on the Neck. Can't wait to get there again this year, Better and more addictive than crack...AND it's legal! If you're out early with a camera grabbing shots of the harbor in the early dawn light, then this place is simply a gem. 6am and they have the best french roast coffee, and chocolate filled bakeries to die for. The girls serving were 110% friendly and enthusiastic, even at this early hour. Get there before the crowds! Posted by: Adrian at June 10, 2006 07:41 AM Sitting on Helmut's porch early in the morning, with a piece of strudel (or 2) and their delicious coffee is very nearly heaven. Posted by: rockportrascal at October 11, 2005 01:31 AMa great place to have coffee and strudel on the back deck, espesially when it's a lite rain and cool outside very calmming My favorite place in Rockport, pick up a delicious coffee and danish and walk out to the end of Bearskin Neck. It's the best!!!! Posted by: Debra at April 12, 2004 01:47 PM This place is the best. When I was growing up we would go to Rockport for vacation and everyday began with a croissant from Helmut's. It is so nice sitting outside, looking at the water and enjoying breakfast. My Dad still loves to call me when they vacation there and rub it in that he is eating at Helmut's. Everything is very fresh with wonderful selections. Coffee and tea choices are excellent, too. Friendly, happy place to hang out or take out a snack to the end of the Neck. Post a review!
