The place was filthy. The bottle of merlot we paid twenty bucks for was a three dollar bottle of Chilean wine that had a chunks of sediment on the bottom. The Greek salad came to the table with chunks of mozzarela and sliced jalepenos because they didn't have feta or pepperocinos. The rolls were made from old pizza dough and were hard as rocks. Our custom pizza was supposed to have sausage, peppers and fresh basil. We got sausage, peppers and no basil. When we mentioned the absence of basil we were given a bowl of the fresh herb to sprinkle on top. When we refused the raw basil we were told that's how they always make their pie. Absurd. When the check came we expressed our disappointment with the salad and the response was "oh well". It hurt paying the check but if I can help someone else avoid this pigsty (just pull your car around to the back of the building) I'll be able to sleep at night.

This is one of the worst places..not only do you stick to the dirty plastic that they put over the tables but it takes a waitress 5-10 to even get to you when it isn't that busy..my rice ball was not even average. And my eggplant WAS STILL COLD...the waitress didn't know it came with pasta and a salad...these people need to check there staff and the food better

Used to be great ...but is now terrible...after trying for a couple of time to get a pizza very well done, light cheese and thick crust...(seems to me very simple for a restaurant called pizzeria) and after we ate 3 or 4 time a barely cooked, full of cheese, slim crust pizza (not to mention the "slushiness" of the pizza)...we just go somewhereelse, tired to pay 15$ (instead of 11& in other pizzerias) for something we didn't like.
That's for the pizza...otherwise the "olive oil" doesn't smell olive at all...

Have been vacationing in Gloucester for many years every summer. We LOVE the pizza here, but haven't had the best service when we actually eat in the restaurant. So, our solution is to have the pizza delivered to our motel room. Best of both worlds. They always bring plenty of paper plates and napkins too, so delivery service is good.

This was a halfway decent restaurant a few years back. Gave it 3 "last" tries over past 1 1/2 years. After last night---it's definitely on the list of 'never to return again' restaurants for our group. We arrived at 6:15 and told our waitperson we had theater tix at 8:00 a block away. WHAT A DISASTER !!! Drink orders taken quickly, delivered slowly. Food orders taken hurriedly, delivered 1 at at time for a party of 7 with about 5 minutes between deliveries. Server forgot one guest's salad and delivered it with her very cold entree of congealed Chicken Broccoli & Ziti. All of our pastas were overcooked; kids meatballs inedible.
We had to pick up our own pitcher of beer which sat warming on the bar in an already hot ,inefficiently-cooled restaurant. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE !!! Owner/manager disappeared after it got slightly busy. Waitperson kept running away/disappearing. NEVER EVER AGAIN !!! Too bad---was a good restaurant a few years back.

Where do I start... my boyfriend and I just got home from one of the worst dining out experiences we've ever had (with the possible exception of Jalapenos). It took the waitress 10 minutes to take our drink order (pitcher of ginger ale), but that's ok because we got to watch a bug crawl around on the table while we waited. She came back to ask our drink order a second time because they were all out of the ginger ale. Instead, we got flat coke and warm lemonade. She then took our food order and when it came out, the calzone didn't have the right toppings in it, the appetizer came at the same time as the meal, and for some God awful reason the chicken parm came on 3 separate plates (two more than was necessary). While eating the less than impressing meal, we could hear an argument break out in the kitchen. The service was lackluster at best and the atmosphere was depressing. I had an overwhelming need to leave the place as soon as possible. Never again.

ZERO STARS
Will never go back. My wife and I stopped in for two slices of cheese pizza as we were just walking down main street. The slices are from a small pizza and they were $2.00 each, and they were terrible. What a joke, on average a slice of large pizza at any other pizza joint in Gloucester is $1.50, and that is for a large. It's a wonder how this place stays up, the place was empty on a Sunday around 12:30. Isn't that lunch time??? Will never go back, we felt so ripped off.
ZERO STARS

yuck, that's about all I can say. So far, after 3 tries I have not found ANYTHING I enjoyed.

As a lifelong resident of Gloucester, I know the pizza places all over town and Valentino's is the best by far...deeeeeeeeeelicious!!

I had the worst experience ever here...I stopped in for an earlier dinner with my boyfriend...the waitress forgot my appetizer (soup), then my boyfriends appetizer and meal was brought before mine, his spagetti was ice cold, and when he told the waitress she stated "well, at least you know that the chef didn't stick his fingers in it before he gave it to you". We paid the check and waited 10 minutes for change. Then when the waitress brought back the change it was wrong. It took another 10 minutes for us to find her to get it straight...did I mention we were the only party in the restaurant. And her co-worker spent our entire stay there on the phone having a very loud conversation full of profanity...I'm glad no children are present. We will never be going back!

Have eaten here for years and love their lasagna, cheese garlic bread and tarimisu. We've never had a bad experience eating there but if we have it delivered, they usually forget to bring the right dressing.

So sorry to have to post this, but my dinner here was terrible. Food was just off, nice server but atmosphere was depressing. Had a coupon, went there to use it and now know why they're having trouble as a restaurant. I think the pizza is decent, though.

My husband and I think this is the best pizza in Gloucester.

A real treat. My wife says it "was the best pizza she's ever had". For once, I agree with her!
Check it Out!
