Reviews!

only come here if you have good health insurance, they fry in lard.i think alot of these people that see each other at jt,s might be hooking up again at mass general sometime down the road.the only way to get great fried clams is to fry in lard, with that said jt,s are the best clams around.woodmans is over priced, the cooks are rushed, clams are greasy, huge crowds(i guess they just think its the place to go)and small portions.i think the heart doctors love these clam shacks more than we do.

Let's face it fellas. The BEST chow this side of the wahu. Like Fresh Seafood? CHECK! Fish, CHECK! Clams, scallops, lobster? CHECK!

Would like to keep this a secret, but let's face it - this is a top notch establishment on Cape Anne.

My parents used to go to Farnham's when we were little (I am one of 11 children) and now we go there. It doesn't get any better than this place for seafood - the side orders are great too!

I've been going here all my life. (I'm a local). I won't eat fried clams anyplace else. They'll even fry em in vegatable oil if you ask. Simply the best !!!

Just fantastic. The best fried clams we have ever had! Worth the trip from Virginia - this was one of the two reasons we visited this year.

J.T. Farnham's just reopened Friday, March 4th for their 61st season. Despite the snow the loyal customers came back in hoards full of compliments and big appetites. On their wall they have framed; ThePhantom Gourmets' "Hidden Jewel" and "The Great Ate {eight}for fried clams" awarded in 2004 and The Best of Boston Fried Clam award in 2004. They not only sell great clams, could to order fresh, but have boiled lobsters to order, a great seafood chowder with everything in it. The view is spectacular, the service friendly and polite. This is a great time to go before the beach and tourist arrive!

We stopped here for lunch a few days ago because of these reviews. We were not disappointed. Because we aren't fried food fans, my wife had the lobster roll and I had a grilled halibut sandwich. Both were among the best ever.

I have been eating at Farnham's since 1957! The fried Ipswich clams served there are the finest in the world. I live in Connecticut and a trip to Farnham's is like a pilgrimage and my whole family enjoys it there. Also, the burgers are delicious.

Been going here almost 40 years. A must stop on any trip to Cape Ann!!! Not Fancy, just the BEST fried clams and seafood. Worth waiting if the line is out the door.

Lived on the North Shore all my life and just discovered JT Farnham's last summer and it has the best fried food of anywhere. I can't wait for it open again in the Spring.
