Recipe Card for Double Chocolate Walnut Biscotti ~
Cakes, cookies, pies, candies, desserts
My family's favorite holiday cookies. I make these in my Kitchen Aid mixer, if you don't have one a hand held is ok too. Preheat oven to 350 2 cups flour Whisk together first 4 ingredients. In another large bowl beat butter & sugar with electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in flour mixture. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips. Turn out onto floured surface and with floured hands form the dough into a disk about 8 inches in diameter. Cut in half with a large knife and form 2 12x2 inch logs on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bake 35 minutes, cool 5 minutes. Transfer logs to cutting board and cut into 3/4 inch slices. Return to baking sheet and bake about 5-7 minutes more.
