Recipe Card for Cranberry Bog Bars ~ Cakes, cookies, pies, candies, desserts

These are not only scrumptious, they have the additional virtue of being good for you.

They also make a nice Thanksgiving dessert item.They are SO easy and everybody loves them.

Crust:

1 cup margarine
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 cups oatmeal

Filling:

1 (16 oz ) can whole cranberry sauce

Topping:

1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Powdered sugar (optional)


Combine crust ingredients and pat into 9 x 13 pan. Spread cranberry sauce on crust. Mix topping and sprinkle over cranberry sauce.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into 24 bars. Just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional).
