4th Annual New Year's Rockport Eve Clam Chowdah Fest, Sat., May 20th

Clam Chowdah tasting 11am to 3pm

Judging from 12 noon to 2pm.

Rockport restaurants will compete for the Best Clam Chowdah in Rockport. A $5.00 ballot will allow you to sample and vote on your favorite recipes. Musical entertainment, children's games, pony rides, balloons, clowns and face painting will also be part of the Fest. New Year's Rockport Eve will also have an information booth were we can share info about our December 31st clebration that takes place in downtown Rockport every year. Souveniers, strawberry shortcakes, popcorn and sodas will also be sold.

On May 20th Chorus North Shore will perform the Regional Premier of John Rutter's "Mass of the Children" as well as selections from Rutter"s "Magnificat" Conducted by Sonja Dalgren Pryor the Chorus is joined by soprano solist Joan Kirchner, baritone solist Ronald Williams, organist Robert Littlefield, the Honors Youth Choir and will be accompanied by the Festival Orchestra.

Chorus North Shore is the oldest community chorus north of Boston and is a leading arts organization on the North Shore. Chorus North Shore traces its beginnings back to 1931 and continues to grow in size, talent and repertoire while continuing to be a true community chorus with open enrollment to all who have a desire to present choral music of the highest caliber.

The Chorus now mentors an Honors Youth Choir comprised of 40 middle and junior high students from both private and public schools representing 10 north shore communities .

Join the Chorus as they celebrate Spring with a very special concert.
